Why should you choose
Wyoming Criminal Defense Lawyers, LLC?
Should you hire an attorney?
Are you or a family member charged with a crime in Wyoming? Should you hire an attorney? The criminal justice system is complex and adversarial, the prosecutor is not your friend and is not looking out for your best interests. If you have committed a crime and are considering a plea offer, how do you know if it is fair? Consider the following:
A conviction for possession of marijuana can permanently disqualify you from student loans and other federal programs;
A DUI charge automatically begins a separate administrative process and even if the criminal case is dismissed, WYDOT can still suspend your license unless you request a Contested Case Hearing within 20 days after arrest;
A domestic assault or battery conviction results in a lifetime loss of your right to possess firearms.
When you hire our firm, we will guide you through the process from start to finish. If your rights were violated by law enforcement, if evidence was obtained illegally, or if you made statements that are not admissible against you, you need a lawyer who knows how to defend you against the government. And if the best option is a plea agreement, you need an attorney who can negotiate the best agreement on your behalf.
Scope of Practice:
Wyoming Criminal Defense Lawyers, LLC is a boutique law firm in which every attorney at the firm focuses on criminal defense law. Our attorneys do not practice any civil law such as divorce, custody, probate, real estate, corporate law, or any other civil field. Because we are not a general practice firm, our attorneys have spent tens of thousands of hours working on criminal defense. We appear in court with clients every day of the week, and have already defended more clients against criminal charges that most general practice attorneys will defend in an entire career.
We DO NOT represent clients cited for minor traffic offenses such as speeding tickets, commercial vehicle violations, etcetera. Our firm only represents clients charged with jailable offenses that carry the possible penalty of jail or prison sentences.
Experience:
Our attorneys have defended more than 1,500 individual criminal defendants within Wyoming. Across the thousands of charges we have defended, all of our attorneys have represented clients charged with a broad range of crimes, ranging from misdemeanor DUI all the way up to First Degree Murder.
Compare Our Experience to Other Firms:
How do you find the best criminal defense attorney for your case? We encourage you to compare us with other attorneys, and to ask them questions such as:
How many felony cases have you taken?
When is the last time you won a suppression motion hearing?
When is the last time you represented a defendant in a felony jury trial?
Have you EVER had a client acquitted at trial?
Have you ever argued a case to the Wyoming Supreme Court?
The attorneys at Wyoming Criminal Defense Lawyers, LLC have represented hundreds of felony criminal defendants, suppressed confessions in murder and sexual abuse cases, acquitted clients in both misdemeanor and felony trials, and due to the nature of our firm, every attorney with the firm has tried a criminal case to a jury within the past year.
